No. 1 The Chromatic Compendium of the Rainbow Ringmaster - The Ringmasters Arrival

The dull hues of gray and black obscurity were all she had ever known. She sat in this lifeless world, waiting for something. A flicker of light, a movement, anything, but here time passed without a shadow. Days passed without distinction, each like the one that passed before. Still, silent, monotonous, she watched the dark endless sky and suddenly, to her surprise, found in it something different. There in the midst of her abyss sat three stars, shining in the darkest hue of blue, pulsating even.
Then, something shook her, a silent hum in the world around her, like a frequency of light beaming into the night. Static caressed the stone hair a top her head as a cloud began to form above her. She tilted her head to the side ever so slightly, so unassuming of what she was seeing. Her perfect stone neck cracked at the movement, a hairline fracture, so entranced she could hardly notice it. The cloud turned lifelike, changing color in vibrant hues, a storm danced above her. Then for the first time in her eternity of stillness she felt something click, the sound of a jaw being unlocked. Her mouth sealed since the beginning of her existence parted going slack with awe as the clouds grew. Violently a flash of purple lightning shone through a black sky that had never even seen a color before this moment.
In confusion, she looked at the vivid storm that raged above her, waiting, wondering, hoping to see something that could explain the flash of vibrant light. Then, a second flash, so bright she blinked, for in this world of gray, nothing so blindingly light had ever appeared before her. As she opened her eyes again, looking to catch a glimpse of what made her feel so alive, she saw him.
He came from the flash that struck the ground. It flickered behind him in the sky, and he paid no mind. With each step he took, the world around her became alive, vivid, awake, and full of wonder. The grass beneath her grew instantaneously, caressing her soles, it felt like a familiar velvet. The blue sky rolled over the black above as though it had always been there. A constant, gentle presence that she hadn't been allowed to see. Her world became a vibrant one, painted with the same soft hues that changed like iridescence, he glowed amongst the darkness. He walked towards her steadily, his gaze to the grass growing inch by inch beneath each step he took.
Seeing him smile at the wonderful thing she had just experienced herself for the first time, she felt a sense of calm wash over her. He slowed his gait as he walked up the rolling hill, and finally as he glanced up to his next step he saw her, seemingly startled he stopped short in his tracks. She met his gaze, and his head tilted curiously. This figure stood before him so still in his peripheral he mistook it for stone. Now that he was nearer he was entranced by the beauty of it, the sharp indentation of her features beside the gentle slope of her bodice. What intrigued him most however, were the eyes. They were striking and so lifelike, he wondered where was her sculptor. Surely he had to know whose imprint would have left such a mark on this world so full of nothing else it seemed. He looked around, searching for whatever may accompany her, how still and statuesque she was, he thought to himself. His curiosity evident in his mannerisms, she knew he had not expected to find her, a single being, in a vast, lifeless canvas that she inhabited alone. He saw no one and realizing that they were alone he felt protective of this newfound treasure. Like now that he had found her here he could not just leave her. Her face held no emotion, but her eyes, they were alive, the light of his colors reflected off of them like they were stars. He took one step closer and upon seeing him touch his chin in a pensive manner, she tilted her head ever so slight as well in the opposite direction mimicking him. She was confused, she had never thought to do a mannerism such as this.
Upon seeing her tilt her head ever so slight his eyes widened, he took a step back to give ample room between them. He stood there staring at her for a moment startled, and for the first time he came to the realization this being was absolutely alive, and that she was.
